My GMT bezel markers (see 12 o’clock triangle) won’t align perfectly with dial index. 1 click clockwise and one 1 click counter clockwise pics shown as attached. Why it . It can make my OCD twitch when it's bad! What I do, to reduce/remove the parallax effect, is to turn the watch fairly flat, and use one eye to sight a straight line from the 6 o'clock . What I do, to reduce/remove the parallax effect, is to turn the watch fairly flat, and use one eye to sight a straight line from the 6 o'clock marker to the 12 o'clock marker, and then check the bezel pip or triangle alignment (pic below).
Rolex Hour Marker Alignment. 1. Bezel misalignment on the Submariner/GMTII seem to be a pretty common problem. Not acceptable IMO, but it is seems to be prevalent. 2. Rehaut alignment is another common problem. Gross misalignment is not acceptable either, but a very slight misalignment is understandable. 3. GMT BLNR bezel misalignment. I was at an AD yesterday and they had 1 GMT BLNR piece available. I was all but ready to pull the trigger and pick up my first Rolex but remembered reading a thread on here about Sub bezels being slightly misaligned.

The 24 hour hand on the Rolex did not align with the hour indicator when the minute hand was at 1200. There was a good 2-1/2 minutes delay before the 24 hour hand was exactly in line with the hour marker. I have read in another forum that the hour hand can be misaligned when the minute hand is at the 12 o'clock position. The best way to check is at 6 o'clock when the hour hand should point directly at 6. My GMT IIc is slightly off which I am cheesed off as when I first had the watch the GMT hand was misaligning.
