The frets are big, the neck is a pretty slim D but somewhat wide (1.75" at the nut), and the radius is compound from 16" - 21" . Blog. The Rolex Air-King The Best Amongst Rolex Watches. Nov 20, 2018 Staff. Rolex has a reputation to maintain — it is one of the best luxury brand watches in the industry. Every Rolex watc h is intricately designed and offers only the best in terms of functionality. The Rolex Air-King is no exception.

Pretty fair and accurate I'd say, though I'd notch it up half a point for tone and build. And point out that lot's of guys are willing to sacrifice the inlays, abalone and fancy stuff for a . Well, I’ve lived with the Larrivée LV-03R for about 48 hours so far. It’s much too early to have an idea of how it will hold up in the long term, but I think I can provide some .

The LV-03RE is the signature Larrivee "L" body. It has sloped shoulders and a tighter waist than a dreadnought, but the lower bout is still .

Part of Larrivee's Rosewood Recording Series, the LV-03R is an all-solid-wood acoustic guitar built to the same standards as the company's top-end instruments. Crafted from Sitka spruce . Opinions on Larrivee L-03. I'm currently playing a Seagull S6 and I enjoy it quite a bit. It's a fantastic guitar that happens to be relatively inexpensive. I'll probably keep it forever.

As others have said here and on the Larrivee forums, you're not going to notice much difference between the voice of an OM-03R and an OM-09, especially if you upgrade the OM-03R with a bone nut and saddle. The OM-09 does . The Larrivee C-03R TE (Sitka on Rosewood) is essentially an LV-03R but it's a 1/4 inch thinner front-to-back than the regular LV-03, and 3/8 inch thinner than an L-03. The Tommy sounds full, resonant and balanced with a lot of sustain, and would likely record very well and amplify nicely for live-performances.

If I had to choose between my LV-09E, LV-03E, and W16ce, I would choose the LV-09. All great quality and great wood. But, the LV-09 has a very "manly", "well-polished", articulate, balanced, and controlled tone and volume.

I have an L 03 Mahogany/Sitka and an LV-10 EIR/Alpine Spruce. Love the Larrivee L body guitars. The price seems reasonable for an 09 series. New, they will set you back almost twice that amount. The video you linked was very good. Nice tone on this one.

While I don't have a mahogany L-body Larrivee, my LS compared to my L-09 sounds considerately different. The mahogany is crisp and loud, the rosewood L is warm and a little quieter. It really depends which sound you're after.

I had the opportunity to play a used Larrivee OM-40R yesterday and was taken back by its tone. It is a fairly simply appointed guitar, but the tone was very, very good with a lot of sustain and as the player, I was deeply satisfied by what I heard. I have a Larrivee L-09 and the fingerboard seems flatter than many other guitars. The Larrivee website lists both the L-09 and D-09 as having the same fingerboard radius, 17" to 21" compound. The D-50 and the D-60, on the other hand, have 16" to 21" compound radii.

According to Larrivee's website, their guitars are shipped with lights but (except for the 12 string models) can handle the extra tension of medium gauge strings just fine. I've been using D'Addorio EJ17 medium phosphor bronze on my Larrivee OM-03R for several years now. The LV-03R has a simple piezoelectric pickup (an LR Baggs “Element”) under the bridge saddle.
